What you now know as the number one  kitchen manufacturers in world was once a carpenter's workshop which Albert Nothdurft started in his parent's attic.
Albert Nothdurft started as a joiner and shopfitter. He soon introduced the first furniture; dressers and small items for the kitchen were his first products. The high quality handcraftmanship was soon being talked about. No wonder his work developed from year to year. But one day tempo doubled: The founder of the company had begun to build up a professional business. The sales representatives traveling around South Germany brought back so many orders that the business had to expand. Today his son Arthur continues the legacy.

Research and Development are important tasks of a marque manufacturer. They answer the questions: How do consumers want to live, what functions must a kitchen fulfill, what individual wishes need to be satisfied?
Variety is ALNO's strength: Ranges for every type of customer, hundreds of front variations, numerous carcase and worktop finishes and an impressive list of unit types - innumerable combinations are possible. Every customer has the opportunity to make their own individual selection.
Even with modern production - ALNO still understands the importance of craftsmanship.
Every fitted kitchen is individual. Kitchens are not in stock. They are custom made for each client. In this respect ALNO is not different from the craftsman who carefully produces each piece. Many also rely on the judgement of the human eye. Wood fronts are checked individually, hand finished and continually scrutinized for the beauty of the grain.

Today ALNO is marketed successfully on every continent, in some 50 countries. Wholly owned subsidiaries and a concentrated network of dealers represent ALNO in 11 European countries. They also have close business associations with 40 importers who represent our product from South Africa to Japan, from Panama to Iceland. Finally, as a part of this distribution system, Alno U.S.A covers the territory from Hawaii to the Bahamas.
